Services and Facilities Provided

The Integrated Mediation Office (West Kowloon) has commenced operation in July 2022 and aims to assist the parties to understand what the nature of mediation is and how it helps the parties, in particular those of the Small Claims Tribunal proceedings, resolve their disputes, as well as to facilitate them to seek mediation from the private practitioners or professional bodies outside the Judiciary.

This office answers enquiries and provides information on court-related mediation on all civil cases, especially for those of the Small Claims Tribunal. Arrangement will be made for any parties who are interested in seeking mediation and have approached the Integrated Mediation Office (West Kowloon) to attend an information session on mediation. This office provides pre-mediation consultations to parties of Small Claims Tribunal cases, and the ways to apply for such service for the parties free of charge.

Computer terminals with access to the Judiciary website, interlinked with the websites of other professional bodies are provided at the Office. A database on the frequently asked questions raised by litigants is also provided for users' reference.

Apart from the services mentioned above, the following facilities are also made available, namely videos on mediation, booklets and relevant materials related to mediation.

However, the staff will not give any legal advice or offer any comment or assistance on the conduct of specific court cases and proceedings.

Monday – Friday:

9:00am – 1:00pm 2:00pm – 6:00pm

The Office will be closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. In case of bad weather, please refer to Typhoon and Rainstorm Warning Arrangements in the Judiciary website.

Any accredited mediator from the Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited who is interested to have his/her name included on the List of Accredited Mediators of the Integrated Mediation Office (West Kowloon), he/she may apply to the IMO(WK) through email by using the prescribed Entry Form (the latest version). (Your application may not be proceeded if the obsolete form is used or it is submitted by other means. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.)
